3. Google Authentication
We use Google OAuth for authentication. When you log in, Google shares a unique identifier and your basic profile info with us. We do not store your Google password. You can manage or revoke PintPoint’s access at any time through your Google Account Security Settings.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
- Public Visibility: Your submitted pint prices and pub reviews are public. Your username may be displayed alongside your contributions.
- Anonymized Data: We may share aggregated, non-identifiable data (e.g., "The average price of a pint in Dublin") with researchers or partners.
- No Sale of Data: PintPoint does not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access & Portability: You can request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: You can request that we update inaccurate information.
- Deletion: You can request that we delete your account and personal data.
- Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw location permissions through your browser/device settings at any time.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will purge your personal identifiers from our database within 30 days. Please note that "Pint Price" entries may remain on the map in an anonymized format to maintain the utility of the crowdsourced data.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
